Our highlights at IBC 2017
MediaPortal – the “find engine”
There’s huge excitement around the new MediaPortal. Creative workflows require users across organisations to combine all types of media from natural and logical content siloes such as archive, graphics and MAM systems alongside “live” sources including newsfeeds and social media. MediaPortal is the first commercially available system for cross-platform searching, finding, collecting and sharing media with a comprehensive video toolset while not only adopting the latest trends in technology but reflecting and embracing changes to the skills and practices of the future workforce. MediaPortal connects to any source or repository, providing a hub users to search and discover content, creating ‘collections’ to be processed for capture, encoding, reformatting, and distribution.
EditMate is the market leading solution for managing Adobe® Premiere® Pro projects and the related media files for seamless collaborative editing workflows. Shown for the first time at IBC: the new, self-service (SaaS) EditMate. Also new for IBC, EditMate now gives editors the possibility to “check out” projects and associated media to their local device to work offline and to contribute edited or entirely new projects and files back into the workgroup. This adds significant flexibility and mobility to users on the move.
Preview of Platform
Platform joins ClipJOCKEY, EditMate and MediaPortal in VPMS (Video Production Management Suite), a group of independently deployable and scalable products that combine as the 3rd generation of enterprise-class Asset Management from Arvato Systems. Platform is a highly adaptable product for content management and workflow orchestration with embedded resource management. Built on standardized technology, Platform incorporates a BPMN workflow designer and engine - enabling users to easily and intuitively design, evolve and deploy complex workflows.
Avatega IP Rights Management and Cross Platform Scheduling
Avatega is an efficient and highly integrated system for managing contractual and intellectual property (IP) rights, and linear and non-linear content schedules. Avatega enables users to schedule content across all their distribution platforms while maximizing the value of IP assets. IBC 2017 sees the introduction of a number of exciting new features that automate the process and optimize the usage of rights and licenses.
